One of our esteemed clients is looking for hiring In-house translators (Indian nationals) to be based in Chennai, India as per the following:
Position: Translator (French-English)
Total No of openings: 04
Profile: Candidate should be Graduate / Advance diploma in French with excellent command over English and French with strong computer skills. Knowledge of Tamil shall be an added advantage.
Area of expertise: Automobiles / Cars
Sociable and open – minded candidates with knowledge of CAT tools shall be given preference.

Position : Project Manager for Translation Services
Total No of openings: 01
Profile: Formal training in Translation and command over English and French is a must. Candidate should have at least 03 years of full time experience as Translator and additional 2 years as Translation Project Manager/ Team Leader. Knowledge of Japanese and Tamil shall be considered as an asset.
Salary: Best in the industry
The Project Manager shall be responsible for the following
1. Team management
Recruiting and training Indian translators and interpreters, Building teams of translators on a long time basis.
2.Project management
Owning several translation projects at the same time from initial planning to final delivery: following translation processes
Filling appropriate information in our Workflow tool
3.Quality control
Checking translations quality according to standards of the company, Assembling and verifying project files for final delivery
4.Glossaries and memory update
Creating glossaries and managing the translation memory for the company
Keeping technical terminology up to date
5.Reporting
Reviewing costs estimates and project, schedules as well as monitoring budgets,
Archiving documentation and realizing status reports, Evaluating the local competences
6.Competitive intelligence
Gathering, analyzing and applying information about new translation tools
Date of receipt of sample translation: February 10, 2008 (1600 Hrs)
Screening and short-listing (first round): February 13, 2008
Test, interview and final: February 26-27, 2008
Date of joining: Mid March, 2008 (Tentative)
